MICHAEL SAKIN JOINS LANDMARK THEATRES AS SVP OF SALES

Landmark Theatres, the nation's largest theatre chain dedicated to exhibiting and marketing independent film, has hired Michael Sakin as its Senior Vice President of Sales. Landmark Theatres Chief Executive Officer Ted Mundorff made the announcement today. Mr. Sakin will be responsible for generating advertising revenue on all Landmark Theatres screens nationwide.

“Landmark Theatres is experiencing a period of growth right now, with three new theatres open for 2007,” said Mr. Mundorff. “Mr. Sakin is a major force in media advertising with years of experience, and will make an extremely valuable addition in this period of expansion. We’re thrilled he’s joining us.”

Mr. Sakin was most recently the Vice President of National Sales, Western and Midwest Regions for Screenvision, the worldwide leader in cinema advertising. Based in Screenvision’s Los Angeles office, Sakin developed sales strategy and managed three sales teams in the firm’s Los Angeles, Detroit and Chicago offices, generating revenue via national cinema spots, slides, promotional extensions and in-theatre integrated marketing programs. Prior to joining Screenvision, Mr. Sakin served as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales for Fox Cable Networks for 8 years, then joined The Game Show Network as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales, where he increased the network’s advertising revenue by 200%.

Landmark Theatres is a recognized leader in the industry for providing consistently diverse and entertaining film product in a sophisticated adult-oriented atmosphere to its customers.

Since its inception in 1974, Landmark has grown to 58 theatres in 23 markets. Landmark is known for both its award-winning historic theatres, such as the Tivoli in St. Louis, the Inwood in Dallas and the Oriental in Milwaukee, and its newer theatres, including the Sunshine Cinema in New York City, the Bethesda Row Cinema in Washington, D.C., the Keystone Art Cinema in Indianapolis and The Landmark flagship theatre in West Los Angeles. Most recently, the company opened Landmark Theatres Harbor East in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. One more brand new Landmark theatre will open this year: The Landmark Theatre in Greenwood Village (Denver).

Landmark is at the forefront of exhibition, providing customers with a number of amenities including the latest in film, digital and sound technology, the widest selection of concession items, in-theatre sales of DVDs, books and CDs as well as Landmark's signature brand of customer service.

Landmark Theatres is part of a vertically integrated group of media properties co-owned by Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban that also includes the Magnolia Picture distribution label, production companies HDNet Films and 2929 Productions, and high-definition cable networks HDNet and HDNet Movies.
